In a world of overcrowded leadership books, Tim’s ability to craft a book that is elegant and practical is very welcome. A must read for leaders of today and tomorrow. The test is timeless and a wonderful tool for you, your team, or your clients.

This book is extremely timely for a world lacking leadership. It gives you a concise view of five foundational traits of a leader who serves. A great quick read for all leaders who want to differentiate themselves from the majority.

This is an excellent book that outlines the real principles of “level -5″ leadership. I have read the book several time including with my family, we review the five principles of leaders, and their meaning, regularly. The book provides an excellent check list and reminder of leadership behavior for any role (including self leadership).

I appreciate that the book hones in on some of the core motivations of good leadership rather than try to be all things to everyone. It’s a quick read and a good refresher for those looking to make a difference, in any aspect of life. It will motivate me to do, and be, better.

Although this book is a small one (~99 pages in total) but packed with some interesting content. Clark uses a business fable to describe leadership and what makes up a good leader.
I’m a HUGE fan of stories and storytelling as a means to convey knowledge and I love these types of books. Obviously other folks enjoy these types of books as well (think Patrick Lencioni and his wonderful books).
The story in this book is an excellent one. It’s well written and the plot-line is pretty good and keeps you turning the pages. While the story is good, the lessons contained with the book are even better. After reading the book, I didn’t feel as though I’d read a business book about leadership…I felt like I read an interesting story about someone learning to lead.
I’d recommend this book to everyone with any interest in leadership….and I’m not just saying that because I was sent this as a review from the author. It’s a great little book.
