I found this book in my church bookstore, but it’s mainly coaching principals. How to develop a great team. Based on interviews with some great college football coaches. In the end the author ties it growing a church, but the leadership skills presented could also be used in business.

I found this in my church’s bookstore (don’t let that scare you off if you’re not a church-goer), and gave it a go. Very nice job by the author. The format is interesting, taking various topics and getting input from some leading college football coaches (hint: they’re all National Champions, so they know something about coaching and leadership). If you’re a football fan, you’ll know these guys fairly well already, but the book gives great insight into what makes them tick, and how they get their organizations to perform at a high level.
This book is appropriate for anyone looking to add to their leadership tool chest, no matter what their field of endeavor.
