Book Description
At the heart of "Time for a Change" is the Ideal Leadership Model - a model which illustrates the critical elements that affect a leader. This model provides a clear picture of both the internal and external factors that impact a person's ability to lead.

In addition to proposing a universal model for leadership, "Time for a Change" outlines Seven Leadership Essentials. These essentials describe leadership progression and show how the model can be applied in real world settings.

Stout illustrates his points with examples from contemporary business, politics, current events, history, literature, even film making for an enjoyable and interesting read.

About the Author[...]
Larry Stout served as associate professor of psychology at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga for nine years. While living in Latvia for sixteen years (beginning in 1991), he found himself in a unique position to experience and observe a nation in dramatic transition. Latvia was in essence a living laboratory exhibiting a strong need for leaders in all aspects of society.

Stout developed an innovative concept, the Ideal Leadership Model, which he used to teach undergraduate students as well as hundreds of government officials, even including members of the Latvian Parliament, and corporate managers in all stratas of business.

Excerpted from Time for a Change:
For many, it seems I am asking them to buy a new car when all they want is a little tune-up on the old one. But the extra investment in time and mental energy could be well worth the effort. Getting a brand-new perspective may open up completely new avenues that were never dreamed of before.

Endorsements:
Larry has provided me with high quality, professional, and emotionally intelligent advice on managerial and leadership challenges that i myself have been facing as a newly appointed manager. The concept of an ideal leadership model is not just a theoretical construction; it is a living creature. I know it. - Dina Grube, Director, World Bank Latvia

Larry Stout has the rare gift of taking complex subjects and making them simple to understand. His teachings have had a great impact on the new generation of managers in the Baltic countries. - Dr Anders Paalzow, Rector, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga

Professor Larry Stout's extensive experience in mentoring and coaching people of different cultures and backgrounds qualifies him more than others to reflect and research on what "ideal" leadership is about. - Professor Andreas Kelling, Institute of Business Research, Neustadt, Germany
