This book is easy to read, and provides a framework that can be used by companies, large and small, to cover the bases on strategy. The fact that it was developed to solve the strategic issues at IBM over the last few years gives it added credibility. Good stuff.

The best thing about Think Before You Leap is its clarity and straight-talk. It avoids the strategic and academic jargon that makes too many business books unreadable. Instead, Doug Sweeny provides a clear and comprehensive process for reviewing and renewing the vitality and growth of business enterprises. Drawing on his intimate knowledge of the IBM turn-around, and his ATS management consulting experience, Doug cuts to the chase and simplifies the often complex processes for clarifying critical market changes, identifying and addressing emerging opportunities and remapping strategic direction. The book is a valuable guide and a must-read for organizational leaders, management consultants and strategic planners.
