Bench Strength is one of the most accessible books I’ve found on leadership and executive talent. I particularly find the graphics and summary charts appealing; I wish all authors would consider readers as much when dealing with the complexities of today’s business challenges.
Anyone who yearns for a master plan on how to integrate talent strategy with business strategy in order to take his/her organization to the next level must get this book. Reading each chapter is akin to having a one-on-one coaching session with a 20-year veteran in organizational and management development (the author, Robert Barner).
Bench Strength has earned a prominent place on my bookshelf and is one of my favorite resources.
